IP/Cellular backhaul
WiMAX backhaul
The LigoPTP 3-18 and LigoPTP 3-N devices operate in the licensed 3.4 – 3.7 GHz frequency band and can provide backhaul connectivity for WiMAX base stations allowing real data throughput up to 70 Mbps. With LigoPTP, WiMAX networks can grow flexibly and quickly.

HotSpot backhaul
LigoPTP 5-23, LigoPTP 5-N, LigoPTP 2-19, and LigoPTP 2-N are ideally suited for remote hotspot zones where there isn’t easily accessible wired connectivity. This allows for a hotspot installation to be completed very quickly with low cost. Hotspot zones can have backhaul throughput up to 70 Mbps.

Mesh backhaul
Similar to Hotspot backhaul, the LigoPTP 5-23, LigoPTP 5-N, LigoPTP 2-19, and LigoPTP 2-N radios working in the unlicensed 2.4 and 5 GHz bands reliably serve mesh networks with efficient backhaul connectivity. Thus mesh networks can be easily expanded over large areas without expensive wired lines.

DSLAM backhaul
ADSL technology is widely used by telcos for access connectivity for residential and enterprise customers. As DSLAM concentrates anywhere from 8 to 64+ users it needs high speed backhaul connectivity. Wireless backhaul to DSLAM is very attractive when no fiber exists and copper backhaul technologies don’t provide enough throughput. In this case LigoPTP 5-23 MiMo or LigoPTP 5-N MiMo provides DSLAM backhaul connectivity with an aggregate 180 Mbps of real data throughput.

3G/IP backhaul
Mobile operators utilize their physical tower infrastructure not only for voice services but also for mobile internet services. 3G technology requires reliable backhaul connectivity between towers. For this case the best choice is a wireless link which can be easily created with microwave PTP from LigoWave: LigoPTP 24.
